These pastelles are made with beef. Pastelles are a steamed cornmeal pie wrapped in banana leaves and filled with stewed meat, olives, raisins and capers. They are very similar to Latin American tamales. Pastelles are normally enjoyed at Christmas time with friends and family.

Our Trinidad Pastelles come in many different options including chicken and pork & beef.

The Pastelles need to be either frozen by you and kept for upto 6 months or kept in the fridge for up to 2 days. The best way to heat these up is place foil wrapped Pastelles in a steamer and steam for about 15 minutes. Do not remove foil before steaming. Pastelles can also be microwaved but make sure all foil is removed and the microwave for about a minute and a half for each one.
